Seen through my lens
The Rose Park Project holds a really special place in my journey as a photographer. This was one of the very first interior shoots I ever did, captured for Callery Building, and the moment I truly realised just how powerful spaces can be when told through light, texture, and thoughtful detail.
At the time, I was stepping into a completely new world. Learning to slow down, to observe how natural light moves through a room, and to let the design speak without distraction. Shooting interiors was a shift from everything I’d done before, and Rose Park became the project where it all clicked.
What struck me immediately about this home was its calm confidence. Nothing shouts, instead, every element quietly works together. Soft whites, warm timber tones, and beautifully considered joinery created a sense of ease that felt both refined and deeply liveable.
As the photographer behind Gaze Interior Photography, my focus was on honouring that balance. I wanted each image to feel honest, to show how the home feels as much as how it looks. Natural light was my guide, gently highlighting textures, edges, and the craftsmanship woven through every space.
From the serene bathroom with its freestanding bath and skylight above, to the functional yet beautiful laundry and mudroom, this home is full of moments that deserve to be noticed. Custom cabinetry, thoughtful storage solutions, and seamless transitions between spaces reflect the level of care poured into the build.
The kitchen and pantry became some of my favourite areas to photograph, not just because of their clean lines and warm timber interiors, but because they perfectly capture how design and daily life intersect.
These are the details that make a house feel like a home and the details I love capturing most.
Looking back now, Rose Park represents more than just a finished project. It marks the beginning of my interior photography journey, the confidence to trust my eye, to lean into natural light, and to tell stories through spaces rather than people.
Collaborating with Callery Building on this project was an honour, and I’m incredibly grateful that one of my first interior shoots was for a build of this calibre. It set the foundation for everything that followed.
This project will always remind me where I started and why I fell in love with interior photography in the first place.
